As teams around the NFL begin to prepare for the new league year and the OTAs that will come before next season, numerous players have been signed to reserve/future contracts.

The latest team to announce their signings was the Oakland Raiders, who chose three players to receive the contracts with the team.

The three players to receive the reserve/future contracts were safety Neiko Thorpe, linebacker Frank Beltre and offensive guard Jarrod Shaw.

Out of the three players that the Raiders signed, only Thorpe has played in any games.

Thorpe played in nine games for the AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs in 2012, while neither Beltre or Shaw have seen live game action.

While Beltre and Shaw will be long shots to make the Raiders roster, Thorpe will have an opportunity to make the team if he excels in special teams.
