John Wall scored 19 points, dished out seven assists, grabbed five rebounds and added four steals and Nene Hilario, who returned to the starting lineup,  had 19 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks as the Washington Wizards defeated the Chicago Bulls 102-88 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois Monday night.

Carlos Boozer had 19 points and seven rebounds to lead the Bulls while Jimmy Butler and Tony Snell scored 12 points apiece.

The Wizards got off to a fantastic start, building a 15-point second quarter lead. The Bulls were much better in the third quarter, twice cutting the lead to four, but every time they got close the Wizards had an answer. After Butler found Taj Gibson for an open five-footer to get within four at 65-61, Trevor Booker hit a jumper and Trevor Ariza and and Martell Webster hit back-to-back threes to push the lead back to 12. Gibson cut the lead back to seven with three seconds to go, but Garrett Temple’s 30-footer was good at the buzzer.

The Bulls never got closer than seven in the fourth quarter.

Both the Wizards and Bulls are now 17-19.
