According to Mike Klis of The Denver PostDenver Broncos offensive coordinator plans to interview for the head coaching job of the Cleveland Browns.  Gase had initially declined to interview with the Browns and Minnesota Vikings, saying he wanted to wait until the Broncos playoff run has ended.  The Broncos are heading to the AFC Championship against the New England Patriots and they could last another three weeks.

The Browns have made it clear they are patient in this process and will wait for their guy.  Gase has been a target they wanted to interview for quite a while and they want to make sure they talk to him before they make their decision.  That has caused a number of people to assume that Gase is their target, but it may be a case where they want to talk to him and go with another of their large number of interviews they have done.

The number of coaching vacancies has decreased and in some ways, that may take pressure off of the Browns to make their hire.  After having a one and done season with Rob Chudzinski, this hire is crucial for CEO Joe Banner as well as the upcoming NFL Draft.
