When you think of the Oakland Raiders, a lack of fans doesn’t come to mind.

But for the third straight season, the Raiders found themselves as the lowest ranked NFL team in regards to local television ratings, this according to Sports Business Daily.

"Per Sports business daily #raiders had lowest local TV rating in NFL for at least 3rd straight season"

Nobody will ever question the diehards but the casual fan has seemingly abandoned the once proud franchise who hasn’t had a winning season in over a decade (2002 to be exact).

The mounting losses have done a number on the Raiders television ratings understandably as the team is continually pushing the NFL for extensions to avoid local blackouts.

Add in the success of the cross-bay San Francisco 49ers and many casual fans have adopted a new team, though a return to glory should once again put the Raiders back among the NFL elites.

Hopefully that starts in the coming months as the Raiders will own the fifth pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
