Remember when the Green Bay Packers caught grief for selecting Eddie Lacy? That decision doesn’t look so bad now as the rookie rusher will be heading to his first Pro Bowl, replacing Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

So how good was Lacy this season?

Per Packers.com:

"Lacy set franchise rookie records this season for rushing yards (1,178), rushing TDs (11) and rushing attempts (284) and tied the team’s rookie mark for 100-yard rushing games (four). He led all NFL rookies and ranked No. 8 among all players in rushing yards and was No. 3 in the league among all players with his 11 rushing TDs."

Peterson had to decline his invite due to injury, giving way to Lacy who becomes the first Packers rooking running back named to the game since 1971.

Lacy also becomes the first Packers running back (rookie or not) to make the game in a decade. Ahman Green was the last Green Bay rusher to be selected in 2004.

Will a Pro Bowl nomination be followed by an offensive Rookie of the Year award?!
