How many times have you been sitting around your living room, watching Jeopardy and you see some sort of sports category pop up? It’s frustrating, isn’t it, to sit there and know that you could probably have yourself some easy money, as generally the questions aren’t really that hard? Now to take it a step further, how frustrating is it when you watch these people not only get these questions wrong, but just be in another stratosphere with their answer?

Well, it happened again recently, and while host Alex Trebek didn’t get frustrated like you or I because he’s rich to begin with, he just couldn’t help but get a chuckle.

The question was rather easy: “354 wins did not overcome the controversy as this ex-Red Sox pitcher didn’t make the Hall of Fame cut in 2013.”

Simple, right? RIGHT?!

Not for the contestants here, and again, Trebek thought it was just hilarious.

It’d be one thing if you didn’t know sports, but the majority of the time, these Jeopardy sports questions use figures that are in the public light a lot. Clemens was one of the pivotal pieces in the entire steroid investigation which was covered by every news outlet in the world.
