According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the general manager search for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will probably last through the weekend.  Additionally, the team might be down to two favorite candidates at this point; New York Giants executive Marc Ross and Arizona Cardinals executive Jason Licht.

Ross is currently working under Jerry Reese with the Giants and has helped guide the team to a pair of Super Bowls.  Meanwhile, Licht is working under Steve Keim with the Cardinals who fell short of making the playoffs despite a 10-6 record this year.

The Buccaneers hired Lovie Smith to be their head coach and are currently looking for a general manger to work under him, which can make it more difficult to find.  Most general mangers want the ability to pick the head coach, but the Bucs were willing to let Smith be the boss to make sure they landed him as their head coach.
