Zach Randolph has revived his career in Memphis. He was a guy who bounced around the league since he left the Trail Blazers back in 2007 (played for Clippers, Knicks), and he was part of the “Jail Blazers” that had a lot of issues off the court. He came to Memphis in 2009, and has found his niche. He constantly gets double-doubles and has been part of the success that Memphis has had in recent seasons.

Randolph is a free agent after this season, and he wants to stay in Memphis. He works well with Marc Gasol, and their high/low game is a big reason for the team’s success. Randolph likes what they have going, and he told RealGM that he wants it to continue:

"“We want to keep this going and we want to stay together,” Randolph told RealGM. “Me and Marc, we compliment each other so well. It’s hard to play against us, especially when we’re both going on both ends and we’re both down there.“My game has matured. I play the right way. I’ve developed. Nothing clicked, I just matured as a player – getting better and helping my teammates.”"

We will see how things play out, but if Memphis wants to go with a youth movement, then we could be seeing Randolph’s last season in Memphis. Some rumors say that the Grizzlies want to add Pau Gasol to team up with his brother, but it is all speculation.

Either way, Randolph has let his opinion be heard, and the ball is now in the Grizzlies’ court.
