Ron Prince to join Detroit Lions staff
Ron Prince is to join the staff of the Detroit Lions as assistant head coach and tight ends coach, under new head coach Jim Caldwell.
In taking up his new role Prince will be reunited with Caldwell, with whom he had worked in Indianapolis when Prince was assistant offensive line coach during Caldwell’s tenure as head coach.
He has also served as head coach at Kansas State, and spent last season as offensive coordinator at Rutgers last season. Prince’s last NFL role was assistant offensive line coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
According to ProFootballTalk there had been rumours that Prince would become the new Lions offensive coordinator, but that position is still to be filled.
