The NBA trade deadline is still about a month away, but there are teams already looking at potential options when it comes to being active when the day rolls around. The Detroit Pistons are one of the teams expected to be active when the deadline comes and fans will be eager to see if their team makes a move that wakes the lethargic core.

This is news that fans will want to hear, as they’ve grown frustrated with another group of players failing to gel together. The biggest name that fans are looking at when it comes to trade rumors is Josh Smith, who could very well be on his way out of Detroit in his first year with the team.

From publicly stating he could care less about shooting statistics to just not looking as good as fans thought he would, Smith is the most likely candidate to be moved in a trade. A possible hangup in a Smith trade though is the fact that he just signed a contract with the team in the offseason, and the front office may not want to bail on him yet.

Detroit needs to do something to rejuvenate their roster and it appears that making a trade is the easiest way to do that.
