The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to focus on adding some offensive weapons to the roster in the offseason and there is one potential target that is beginning to gain some buzz. According to the Kansas City Star, the Chiefs are expected to show some interest in Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

Maclin will be entering free agency after missing the season with a torn ACL, so the good news for Kansas City is that they could get him relatively cheap.

There is also an obvious connection.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is the man who drafted Maclin in Philadelphia and the former first-round pick is familiar with the offense.

With the familiarity, play-making ability and value that the Chiefs could get in Maclin, it is a perfect fit and would be surprising if they did not take an honest look at adding him to the roster — even if it is just one a one-year “show me” deal.
