While the NFC Championship game featured plenty of classic moments, the most bizarre moment came after the game when Richard Sherman called out Michael Crabtree for refusing to acknowledge him as the best cornerback in the NFL. While the spat was between the two players on the field, a third player was unfairly dragged into things.
Sitting at home watching the NFC Championship game on his couch, Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Tom Crabtree saw his Twitter account start to blow up with new followers and hate tweets. The reason for this was that fans on Twitter mistook Tom Crabtree for Michael Crabtree.
You haven't experienced awkward until you've received dozens of insults intended for a man with a name similar to yours.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen NFL fans take to Twitter to bash a player who made (or didn’t make) a play in a big game. It’s also not the first time that the wrong guy had been targeted by fans, but Tom Crabtree seems to be taking the case of mistaken identity in stride.
Oh. I mean.....YES! I am Michael Crabtree! Welcome, new followers!
