The Denver Broncos knew that if they wanted to stop the Patriots, they needed to cut off the head of the snake and watch it flop around. Terrance Knighton and his Broncos defensive teammates have been doing their best to do exactly that, and Knighton himself contributed late in the game with a monster sack.
Denver leads the game 23-3 and they still have that sizable lead thanks to a huge, momentum stopping sack that Knighton had on Brady when he wrestled him to the ground and helped beat the life out of the Patriots offense.
The Broncos defense has been stout all day long, allowing just three points and keeping the Patriots at bay all afternoon. They remember what happened when they let up on Tom Brady earlier in the season, and they’re not about to allow another comeback to derail their season this close to the Super Bowl.
