Lakers at Bulls final score: Taj Gibson beats buzzer, Lakers 102-100 (video)

Taj Gibson hit a layup as time expired in overtime to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 102-100 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois Monday night.

Gibson scored 12 points on just three-of-11 shooting, but hit the biggest shot of the game.

D.J. Augustin came off of the bench to lead the Bulls with 27 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Nick Young hit a jumper with just six seconds left in overtime to set up Gibson’s shot. That wasn’t the only clutch shot Young knocked down – he also drew a foul while shooting a three and hit all three free throws with four seconds left in regulation to tie the game. Joakim Noah missed a seven-footer at the buzzer and the game went to overtime.

Young finished the game with 31 points on 11-of-23 shooting to go along with five rebounds and five assists.

Pau Gasol poured in 20 points, 19 rebounds, five blocked shots and three steals while Jodie Meeks scored 16 points and dished out seven assists for the Lakers.

Noah had 17 points, 21 rebounds, six assists and two steals and Jimmy Butler scored 13 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out five assists and had four steals.

The Bulls are now 20-20 while the Lakers are just 16-26.
