The Carolina Panthers had a solid year but they unfortunately exited in their first game after losing to the San Francisco 49ers. One of the biggest needs on their team is at wide receiver. They can be expected to resign Ted Ginn Jr who had a solid season in a complimentary role, but it could be a position they look to address. The Panthers are also expected to offer wide receiver Brandon Lafell a one-year deal.

From the Charlotte Observer:

"The Panthers will look to re-sign Ginn at the right price, while free agent Brandon LaFell likely will be asked to take a team-friendly, one-year deal to stay in Charlotte. Gettleman needs to address this position either in the draft or through free agency. Giants’ receiver Hakeem Nicks, who turned 26 last week, is coming off a disappointing season but still will command a big contract."

Still they could look to the draft for a upgrade as well. A one-year deal gives them a band-aid but it doesn’t bog down their future.
