After having some time to settle down from the NFC Championship win over the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has apologized for his post-game remarks that left everyone talking.

Sherman explained his actions earlier in the day, but he had not issued an apology until now.

I apologize for attacking an individual and taking the attention away from the fantastic game by my teammates,” Sherman told ESPN’s Ed Werder. “That was not my intent.”

Sherman is an intelligent man and he made sure to choose his words wisely.

While he apologized for taking the attention away from his Seahawks teammates and going after Crabtree in the manner that he did, he never apologized for his words and he never will.

Love him or hate him, Sherman is real and he’s not afraid to wear his emotions on his sleeve.
