Seattle Seahawks special teamer Jeremy Lane was forced out-of-bounds on a punt play in the NFC Championship game. The incident occurred on the San Francisco 49ers and while Lane was trying to get back onto the field to get back in the play, it looked like a person in street clothes on the 49ers side line clotheslined him.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Monday that the NFL was looking into it to determine whether any discipline is necessary.

The 49ers say they haven’t heard from anyone though.

“We have not been contacted by the League on this matter, but will cooperate fully with any questions they may have,” 49ers spokesman Bob Lange told Pro Football Talk.

The NFL needs change this rule. You go out of bounds, you can no longer come back on the field. This applies to any play, If you go out of bounds, stay out of bounds or face a penalty.
