Teams around the league are beginning to look ahead to the offseason and begin to analyze some of the decisions that they will need to make with impending free agents. For the Baltimore Ravens, one of the players they will need to discuss is tight end Dennis Pitta.

Pitta was the team’s third-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, but he has been underwhelming and has yet to break out like the team had hoped for since entering the league.

In 2013, Dickson had the opportunity to finally step and embrace a bigger role in the offense, but plenty of inconsistency left the Ravens offense still fighting to find a way to make up for the loss of Dennis Pitta

Now, according to the Carroll County Times, the Ravens are expected to release Dickson in the offseason.

It will be interesting to see what the  market is like for Dickson and where he will end up playing next season, but we will have to wait until March for any answers.
