Al Jefferson continued to play at a high level, scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 95-91 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina Wednesday night.

Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

The game was closely contested throughout, but Jefferson was the difference down the stretch. With the Bobcats up one with 4:01 to play, Jefferson hit a 20-footer. After Griffin made one of two free throws, Jefferson’s shot from eight feet away was true. After Jared Dudley hit a three, Ramon Sessions made just one of two free throws on the other end. Jamal Crawford, who finished with 20 points, tied the game. On the next possessions, Sessions missed a jumper, but Gerald Henderson slammed home the rebound. Griffin missed a layup and Josh McRoberts and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist sealed the deal at the line.

McRoberts finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

J.J. Redick chipped in 15 points and DeAndre Jordan had four points, 20 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks for the Clippers.

The Bobcats improve to 19-25 while the Clippers fall to 29-15.
