One of the hottest rumors in Chicago at the moment revolves around Carlos Boozer and whether or not he’ll end up getting amnestied at the end of the year. It appears that the Bulls will finally be able to amnesty Boozer over the summer but a new report states that Chicago may be reconsidering.

According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Bulls remain split on whether or not amnestying Boozer in the offseason is something they want to do.

"One source said it was more of a 50/50 split on Boozer finishing his contract in Chicago mainly because there may not be that major player that justifies paying Boozer to go play somewhere else, especially with the Bulls now being below the Luxury Tax line."

So far, the Bulls have only flirted with the idea of amnestying Boozer and their fans have been the ones considering this more so than the team has been. Boozer may very well be cut in the offseason, but it’s clear that the Bulls are a ways away from making that sort of decision.
