With the NBA trade deadline approaching, there are players that will inevitably be mentioned in trade talks whether they like it or not. One of those players is Detroit Pistons big man Greg Monroe, and it appears that the are rumors are starting bother him just a little bit.

Monroe admitted as much to Vincent Goodwill of the Detroit News, saying that he’s just going to focus on games to take his mind off the business aspect of the sport he plays in.

"“It does, to be honest. We’re still trying to get things right, here,” Monroe said.“To see that stuff … I just focus on what we’re doing here. I’m here. If that changes, then I’ll move forward. If it never does, I’ll focus on playing these games and trying to win these games.”"

There’s nothing saying Monroe will indeed be traded, but it’s starting to sound as though the Pistons will be looking to make a move at the deadline that involves trading one of their core players. Fans are hoping that ends up being Josh Smith, but Monroe is in play when it comes to trade chips the Pistons have to flaunt.
