It’s no secret that the situation in New York with the Knicks is a messy one. From the uncertainty surrounding Carmelo Anthony’s future to the questions about the team’s head coach, now is not a fun time to be associated with the Knicks. The latest incident apparently took place between head coach Mike Woodson and center Tyson Chandler.

According to the New York Daily News, Chandler was confronted recently by Woodson after defensive schemes were questioned by Chandler.

"According to a team source, Woodson recently confronted Chandler about comments the veteran center made that could be interpreted as undermining the coach’s authority. It is unclear when that conversation took place, but it could have happened last week following a loss to the Indiana Pacers, when Chandler said “we didn’t make adjustments.”"

This is not something the Knicks need at the moment, as it appears they may be close to turning a corner. It’s unclear when this confrontation took place, as it’s possible that things may have calmed down by now.

These stories popping up like this all season long aren’t good though, as they constantly undermine any little success the Knicks might be striving for. It’s possible that they could turn it around, but stories like this paint a different future for the Knicks.
