The NFL Draft is right around the corner, which means prospects are starting to stand out more and more and teams are beginning to notice. One of the players that a lot of eyes have been on is Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr, younger brother of NFL quarterback David Carr.

Both Carr brothers attended Fresno State and both are leaving the school as top prospects in the NFL Draft. David Carr ended up going No. 1 overall to the expansion Houston Texans, while Derek Carr is projected to be a top 10 pick. The Texans have the first pick again with yet another Carr coming out of college, which has many wondering if the team will double dip in the family gene pool.

If Houston does do that, Derek Carr says he would love to follow in his brothers footsteps and play for the Texans.

Per the Houston Chronicle:

"“Absolutely: I’d love to play for the Texans. They have a great team. They have a great offensive line — one of the best tackles in the game (in Duane Brown). I’ve thrown to Andre (Johnson) before, so the timing should be OK.”"

There’s no guarantee that the Texans will take another Carr No. 1 overall, as the last time that happened, things didn’t turnout so well. But Derek Carr could wind up in Houston next season, which would give him chance to redeem his family name with the team.
