The Cleveland Browns couldn’t have butchered their head coaching search any worse than they have, and still things aren’t nearly where they need to be. After losing out on Adam Gase and Dan Quinn, the Browns are getting desperate and have reportedly called in Greg Schiano and Josh McDaniels for interviews.

Schiano is a sign of desperation as he crashed and burned in Tampa Bay, but McDaniels may be a worse show of desperation as he had already been ruled out as a candidate. Despite pulling his name from the coaching search, McDaniels met with Cleveland again, although he’s not the frontrunner you might think he is.

This shouldn’t come as that big of a surprise as the Browns are interviewing everyone short of local high school coaches at the moment, but they still don’t want McDaniels. Once called the frontrunner to land the job, McDaniels has now been rejected twice by the Browns, which either says very little about the Browns or even less about McDaniels — or both.
