For a player to have success, they need to be on the same page as their head coach. At least, that’s the thought.

And that could be why former Chicago Bulls player Marquis Teague was struggling as the young player recently told ESPN he wasn’t clicking with Tom Thibodeau.

Teague, who was traded to the Brooklyn Nets last week expressed his frustration to the Worldwide Leader:

"“It just wasn’t clicking with Thibs [coach Tom Thibodeau] the right way,” Teague said. “Just trying to figure out the system was kind of tough for me. The way they play isn’t really my style, so it’s kind of difficult for me. But I’ve got a new start now, so I’m just looking forward to the future.”"

Teague explained that he likes to push the ball and ‘play fast’ – something that Thibodeau apparently wouldn’t allow him to do.

Not sure he’s going to have much more of an opportunity to do that in Brooklyn, though he seems to feel as if anything is better than the system used by the Bulls.
