The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks NFC Championship match up last Sunday was one of the best games played this post-season. For awhile it looked like the 49ers were going to dominate the Seattle Seahawks as their defensive front was putting a lot of pressure on starting quarterback Russell Wilson.

Now the 49ers had the lead late in the game when the Seahawks had the ball facing a fourth and seven on San Francisco’s 35 yard line. Seattle pretty much pulled something from Green Bay’s playbook and scored the game winning touchdown on a fourth down play.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse beat corner-back Carlo Rogers down field and brought down the pass from quarterback Russell Wilson to help give them a six point lead over the San Francisco 49ers. Then we all know what happened afterwards, turnovers, really nasty knee injury and a deflected pass by Richard Sherman that resulted into a game clinching interception.

So now that the 49ers are back home and looking over their roster, a couple pieces may not be returning next year. Now according to CSN Bay Area, the man who was beat on that fourth down play Carlos Rogers, may not be back with the team in 2014.

Carlos refused to take a pay cut last year and missed some playing time this year due to an injury. It’ll be interesting to see who will land Rogers and what they will be willing to pay him.
