Denver Broncos’ Knowshon Moreno expects to play in Super Bowl
By David Miniel
We’re only eight days away from the final game of the 2013-2014 season. It’s a big depressing, but the two teams who will be competing for the Vince Lombardi trophy will be sure to give us one of the best games in championship history.
It will feature one of the best offenses in the league going up against one of the best defenses in the league. Both teams had the best records in their respected conferences while they finished with the number one seed, a first round bye and home field advantage.
On one side you have one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game in Peyton Manning. A man who can read the defense like it was a children’s book. On the other side you have the future of the National Football League in Russell Wilson.
A young man who has raised the blood pressure of almost every defensive coordinator in the game.
Now I have the Denver Broncos taking this game against the Seattle Seahawks. There’s no way I can go against Peyton Manning. But if this team actually wants to defeat the Seahawks, they’re going to need their running backs to perform at their very very best.
Running back Knowshon Moreno suffered a rib injury during the AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots. X-Rays came back negative and he was limited during practice this week. Good thing they have this week off.
According to USA Today, Knowshon Moreno told reporters that he expects to play in the Super Bowl on February 2nd.
"“It feels good, getting better. I’ll be ready to go. I’ve had things like this before and it hasn’t really stopped me.” Moreno via USA Today."
You would have to think that Moreno will be extremely emotional during the National Anthem before the biggest game of his career. The man’s tears flow like a small river.
