The Super Bowl is next week and already players and fans are starting to dig deep into the matchups the game will have. One of the main players being talked about in the big game is Richard Sherman, who made waves with this post game interview after the NFC Championship game.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson sent out a tweet on Saturday that some are wondering whether or not it’s a jab at Sherman’s claim to be the best cornerback in the NFL.

Peterson could be hinting at something completely unrelated, but fans can’t be blamed for thinking this might be a shot at Sherman. After all, Peterson has largely been regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the league, he just doesn’t play left cornerback like Sherman does.

Again, this could be just a harmless tweet by Peterson, but it does remind us that in all the hubbub about Sherman, we have indeed forgotten that Peterson is right up there with him in the discussion for best corner in the NFL.
