Seattle Seahawks’ corner Richard Sherman has received a bunch of positive and negative attention after his little post-game interview last Sunday after his team defeated the San Francisco 49ers.

Meme’s and Vines have been made about Sherman’s little ‘promo’ he cut with FOX Sports’ Erin Andrews. Now if you’re familiar with professional wrestling, you know those athletes need to be able to work a microphone. It’s a great way to build up not only your character, but an upcoming event/match up.

UFC’s Chael Sonnen is another athlete outside the world of professional wrestling who has brilliant microphone skills as well. But right now all the attention is on Sherman. Sherman has been labeled a thug by people on the internet because of what happened.

He later apologized, but could be cashing in because of it on April 6th, 2014.

That’s the day the World Wrestling Entertainment will be holding it’s biggest pay per view/sports entertainment event of the year, WrestleMania. This year the event will be held in New Orleans, a city whose team was defeated in the playoffs by Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks.

According to NoDQ.com, the WWE is planning on reaching out to Richard Sherman about a possible appearance for the event. He won’t be competing in a match, but could make a cameo backstage just like a couple of other celebrities have done in the past.

Athletes/actors/musicians always attend the show, considering this is one of the most popular events to attend, it doesn’t matter if it’s RAW/SmackDown or a pay per view.

I’m sure if he makes an appearance, he will receive a bunch of heat from Saints fans in attendance.
