Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas will not be going the route of Richard Sherman and calling out his opposition this week as “mediocre” as Sherman did with Michael Crabtree following the Seattle Seahawks win over the San Francisco 49ers, but rather he views Seahawks safety Earl Thomas as the best in the game.

It’s hard to disagree with Thomas’ comments in advance of Super Bowl XLVIII after Thomas had 105 tackles and five interceptions while leading arguably the best secondary in the NFL in recent memory.

No offense to Troy Polamalu, Eric Berry, Eric Weddle, Eric Reid or any other elite safety, but you can understand Thomas saying this six days before the two go head-to-head on the gridiron.

There will be no bulletin board material from either of these two teams as even Sherman called Thomas a top-five receiver in the game. The flattery is alive and well in the lead up to Super Bowl XLVIII.
