Dallas Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban is back after Brooklyn Nets’ owner Mikhail Prokhorov.

Prokhorov is often criticized for remaining in his home country of Russia rather than being with his team while Cuban attends every game, including road games and is probably more involved than any owner in sports.

Cuban took a shot at Prokhorov regarding his involvement.

“Again, hypothetically speaking – and this only applies to individuals 6-5 and under – you can’t,” Cuban said, at a tempo the orchestra conductor would call accelerando via Dave D’Alessandro of the New Jersey Star-Ledger. “That’s why I sit so close (to the floor): It’s like trying to run a company and not being able to go to the sales meetings. Not being able to go to the customer service or support meetings.

“You know, the reason why you’re starting to see more and more owners get closer and closer (is because) culture is important, attitude is important, communication is important . .”

The Nets defeated the Mavericks 107-106 in Brooklyn Friday. The two teams will meet again on March 23 in Dallas.
