If you haven’t heard of Seattle Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman before last week, you’ve certainly been beaten over the head with every last detail about the former Stanford receiver-turned-cornerback-turned-media-darling since the end of the NFC Championship win over the San Francisco 49ers.
His interview with Erin Andrews on Fox immediately after the game went viral as everyone from coast to coast weighed in on whether it was refreshing to see a professional athlete speak honestly and candid vs. those who felt it was an athlete who put his actions ahead of his teams in a selfish gesture in the worst example of poor sportsmanship in the history of the world.
In any event, Sherman is not going away any time soon and in fact with his starring in commercials and his jersey sales in the top 10 in the league, we will only see more of him, and that includes this week’s Media Event at Super Bowl XLVIII.
It also includes this remix of Sherman’s post-game rant with Andrews.
