The Queen Anne Cannabis Club in Seattle is now offering a strain of marijuana — the scary drug that makes you do terrible things like eat Taco Bell, laugh at cartoons, and enjoy the music of Animal Collective — called “Beast Mode” in honor of Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch

According to Nate Johnson, the owner of the dispensary, the strain produces a sensation similar to Lynch’s powerful running style:

"It’s extremely strong. Marshawn has gears when he’s running and it’s kind of like that. It has a little bit of a slow start and then kicks in (The Seattle Times)."

How about the fact Lynch has registered trademarks on the “Beast Mode” nickname? Couldn’t that create some legal complication? According to Johnson, it’s all chill: “Since it’s for donation-based medical cannabis, we feel his compassion towards it will make it acceptable.”

Let’s hope Lynch is a little more accepting of having a strain of marijuana named after him than the Manning brothers were.
