Over the last two years, Houston Rockets forward Chandler Parsons has been one of the most improved players in the NBA.

One of the most well-respected minds in the history of basketball, San Antonio Spurs’ head coach Greg Popovich, has taken notice.

“He has gotten better every year,” Popovich told Jenny Dial Creech of Ultimate Rockets, part of the Houston Chronicle.  “He has gotten more confident. He really knows what he can do best and he does it consistently. He is a heck of a competitor. He loves to play the game. You look at him you know he is having fun. And he just competes his fanny off.”

Parsons is putting up 17.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He’s also become a marksman, shooting 40.1% from beyond the arc.

“So he has gotten better and better and we have seen that progression in him and this year he is one of the better players in the league.” Popovich said.

The Rockets will host the Spurs Tuesday night at 8:00 pm EST. The game is on NBA TV.
