The NBA trade deadline is approaching which means that Carmelo Anthony’s name will continue to come up more and more as the date nears. With the Knicks uncertain of his future with the team, there are many that believe the Knicks should take their chances and should just trade him before the deadline.

One of the most persistent rumors seem to be the Knicks trading Carmelo Anthony to the Los Angeles Clippers, and those rumors have again surfaced thanks to the Racine Journal Times.

This just reminds us of how impossible this idea really is. The Clippers could get Melo, but they’d need to get rid of Chris Paul or Blake Griffin first, something they don’t look to be doing before the deadline. This has led to Melo for Griffin rumors to pop up, but those should be dismissed as well.

Still, these sorts of rumors are bound to pop up as the deadline approaches and we will all need to continue to take them with a massive grain of salt.
