Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Branden Albert is set to hit free agency in March and it is becoming increasingly unlikely that he will not be returning to the Chiefs in 2014. After Kansas City selected Eric Fisher with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Albert became expendable and there is already a team that has been linked to the starting tackle entering free agency.

According to Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix, the Arizona Cardinals will make Albert their No. 1 target when he becomes available.

The Cardinals have been expected to target the offensive line in the first-round of this year’s draft, but they would be able to look elsewhere if they land Albert.

Last offseason, the Cardinals and Chiefs had discussed a trade for Albert, so their interest in the left tackle is nothing new. It will be interesting to see if they can land him this time around.
