New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Terron Armstead was forced into a big role during his rookie season, where he was given the responsibility of protecting the blind side of quarterback Drew Brees.
Armstead struggled early, as many rookies do, but he was able to eventually find his groove and elevate his play in the postseason.
Unfortunately for Armstead, his offseason will begin with hand surgery, that he will be undergoing on Tuesday morning. The Saints offensive tackle announced his surgery today on social media.
Minor hand surgery in the morning!! Praying for success and a speedy recovery

While you generally would like to avoid surgery, the good news for Armstead is that the procedure is minor.
He is fully expected to be ready for the Saints OTAs later this year.
