Eric Bledsoe once played in Los Angeles for the Clippers prior to the team acquiring Chris Paul, but he may be on his way back there this summer. Bledsoe may be returning to Los Angeles but it won’t be in a Clippers uniform, rather a purple and gold Lakers one.

According to ESPN insider Chris Broussard, the Lakers are prepared to make a serious run at Bledsoe this offseason and may end up overpaying him to wrestle the point guard away from the Phoenix Suns.

Los Angeles is already looking ahead to ways they can improve the roster and rebuild without having to actually go through the pains of rebuilding the roster through the draft. One way to speed up the process is to sign a young and experienced point guard like Bledsoe, something the Lakers seem willing to do according to Broussard.

The Suns won’t let Bledsoe go easily though, as Suns owner Robert Sarver said he’s going to bring his guard back this summer no matter what.

Bledsoe is a restricted free agent, meaning it’s very likely that the Lakers will set a high price and see if they can’t win a game of chicken with the Suns.
