The Boston Celtics were looking like a surprise Cinderella team earlier in the year, but reality has since set in. Now that the team stands little chance of making the postseason, it appears that they’re going to become sellers at the trade deadline this year.

According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, the Boston Celtics are looking to move Gerald Wallace, Jeff Green and Avery Bradley at the deadline this year to any team willing to take them on.

The Celtics didn’t seem to want to move Green earlier this year when his name was brought up in trade talks with the Houston Rockets, but it appears they are now ready to move him for what will likely amount to draft picks. The Celtics are a team building for the future and they have made no secret about their desire to rebuild.

The real question here is how does this all effect Rajon Rondo’s situation. The point guard wants to hash out an extension with the Celtics, but cutting ties with veterans at the deadline may scare Rondo off.

Inevitably, word that the Celtics are moving veterans at the deadline will further fuel rumors that one of those veterans will end up being Rajon Rondo.
