On the current debate in the NFL at the moment surrounds whether or not kickers and punters should be allowed into the Hall of Fame. The debate isn’t a headliner but it will be when it comes time for Adam Vinatieri’s name to join the ballot.

While he looks to change the Hall of Fame debate once eligible, Vinatieri says he’s not quite done playing football just yet. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the free agent kicker plans on playing for at least two more seasons before hanging up his iconic cleats for good.

Vinatieri is a free agent this offseason and there’s a good chance the Colts bring him back just because he’s one of the most reliable kickers in football. There’s a trend towards adding young kickers with cannons for legs, which means a return to the Colts isn’t a lock for the veteran, but it’s still likely.
