Another professional athlete has been arrested? Surprise, surprise. I understand that these guys are human, but don’t they realize that they have people who look up to them?

It’s one thing to be just an Average Joe and do it, but when you’re representing a professional football team who has a huge fan base, you should really consider what you do and how you do it. According to the Kingsport Times-News, San Francisco 49ers offensive guard Daniel Kilgore was arrested last Sunday.

Kilgore was spotted staggering on the sidewalk with another male at 2:18 AM when they were arrested. Police arrested them for their safety and the welfare of the public. Didn’t need these guys getting into a vehicle and causing any damage, or worse.

Good thing they were brought into custody before they were able to do anything that would cost them some serious time. The league needs to come together and find a way to help keep their employees from getting arrested. It’s happening way too much and it’s pretty embarrassing for not only the league, but the player involved, the franchise, their family/friends and fans.

Hopefully Daniel will learn from this experience and be careful next time. There’s nothing wrong with kicking back, having a couple drinks with some family and friends at home. Have to be smart about it.
