Bobcats at Lakers final score: Charlotte wins 110-100

Al Jefferson exploded for 40 points, leading the Charlotte Bobcats to a 110-100 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California Friday night.

Jefferson, who was not named to the All-Star team Thursday night, shot 18-of-32 from the field, pulled down 18 rebounds, dished out four assists and had three steals.

Gerald Henderson scored 20 points and Ramon Sessions, who continues to fill in for the injured Kemba Walker, scored nine points, dished out 13 assists and grabbed four rebounds.

The Bobcats lit up a Laker defense that continues to play very poorly, shooting 52.3% from the field and dominated the inside, scoring 62 points in the paint.  The Lakers shot just 38.7% from the field and scored only 38 points in the paint.

Pau Gasol led the Lakers with 24 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and two assists. Nick Young scored 21 points off of the bench, Jodie Meeks had 19 points, Ryan Kelly scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds and Kendall Marshall added 10 points, 12 assists and six rebounds.

The Bobcats are now 21-27 while the Lakers are 16-31.
