In what was unquestionably the best game of the 2013-14 college basketball season, the Syracuse Orange remained unbeaten on the season as they held off the Duke Blue Devils in their first ACC match up in overtime, 91-89.

Near the end of regulation, the Orange held on to a three point lead, until Duke’s Rasheed Sulaimon hit a deep three-pointer as the buzzer hit, to send the game into overtime.

The battle continued into the extra five minutes, but it was the Orange that were able to pull it out narrowly in the end. Although, it didn’t come without some controversy, as Duke’s Rodney Hood went for a monster dunk with time running out, a play in which he was clearly fouled, but no call was made on the play.

Nonetheless, it was the Orange who remained unblemished in their first season as an ACC member, and they were once again led by dynamic forward C.J. Fair, who put on an absolute show, finishing the night with 28 points and five rebounds.

Jerami Grant finished with a double-double for the Orange with 24 points and 10 boards.

With the win, Syracuse now improves to 21-0 on the season, while the Blue Devils drop to 17-4.
