The NFL Honors will be airing tonight on FOX but the show won’t be airing live like normal awards shows do. This is something that caused some panic on Twitter earlier on Saturday when awards started being announced and photos of the event were showing up but nothing was airing on television sets at home.
The reason for the confusion was that the NFL Honors were taped prior to actually airing, meaning the awards show started at 6:00pm ET but won’t actually air until 8:00pm ET.
Fans took to Twitter to complain about there being nothing on TV despite the awards being announced.
What's the point of watching the NFL Honors when ESPN and NFL are already reporting who wins

What's the purpose of NFL honors if we know who win at 5 o'clock

It’s pretty interesting that the NFL would tape delay their own awards show and allow it to be spoiled by social media. Still, the awards show will eventually be aired on FOX, and the above tweets prove that you weren’t the only one fooled by the weird schedule the NFL Honors was on this year.
