The NFL Hall of Fame voting committee met for a record amount of time on Saturday in selecting the members of the 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, and apparently, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Derrick Brooks has been selected.
Thought of tonight is JOY, HUMILITY, and gratefulness, I'm in the Hall of Fame Now

Brooks is the first official name that we know of in this class, and he’ll now join his former Tampa Bay defensive teammate, Warren Sapp, who was a member of the 2013 class.
After a standout career for the Florida State Seminoles, Brooks was selected 28th overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played a crucial part, along with Sapp and a few others, of changing the perception of the long-suffering franchise under both Tony Dungy and Jon Gruden.
It was all capped off with a Super Bowl victory over the Oakland Raiders following the 2002 season.
For his career, Brooks notched over 1,700 tackles, 13.5 sacks, and 25 interceptions with seven of them returned for scores.
