When things happen in the public eye, like Seattle Seahawks’ Richard Sherman’s over enthusiastic post-game rant, we see the worst come out of people on Twitter. It is so easy for people to anonymously spew hate or criticize someone from behind the key board without looking them in the face.

It often over shadows the good that can come out of Twitter. There are a lot of fans who send their favorite athletes words of encouragement instead of criticism.

Seahawks running back questioned whether the media actually creates a bridge to the fans, and with Twitter fans can get direct access. The Jordan brand decided to use Twitter and the fans for a one of a kind and positive promotion. They took encouraging and positive tweets for Seahawks safety Earl Thomas and had them printed on athletic tape he will wear during the Super Bowl game, literally carrying the 12th man with him during ever play.
