Believe it or not, some people don’t even care about the actual football being played during the Super Bowl. Some want to watch simply because of the commercials or the halftime show. This year’s entertainment will be Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Predicting when exactly the Super Bowl halftime show begins is nearly impossible, but we can look to the track record to have a good idea of roughly when it will start. Last year’s halftime show starring Beyonce started around 8:10 p.m., so tuning in at eight o’clock seems like a safe bet to avoid missing it.

The halftime act is usually expected to perform for 14 minutes, two minutes longer than a regular season halftime break. The Super Bowl’s halftime lasts about 30 minutes all-in-all.
