NBA Trade Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers may trade Dion Waiters before deadline

The situation with the Cleveland Cavaliers is only getting worse it seems. All weekend long there have been rumors swirling about Kyrie Irving being unhappy and wanting to leave, and that’s put a real damper on things in Cleveland. Andrew Bynum pointing the finger at the team didn’t help and quotes from Luol Deng saying that the team is a mess definitely won’t restore any faith in the team.

It’s for all of these reasons, plus the ugly losing that’s going on, that has the Cavs front office looking to make some serious changes to fix things in the 11th hour. According to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal, one such front office move could be to trade Dion Waiters before the deadline arrives later this month.

Two sources close to the team confirmed that barring a significant turnaround before the trade deadline, this roster will likely face some upheaval. That very well could include Waiters, whose act has worn thin on his teammates and various members of the organization.

It’s clear that something needs to change in Cleveland, because if the team continues to spiral out of control, things will only get uglier as the disaster continues.

Is it possible the cavs are betting to many chips Irving? At present I believe Dion Waiters may be exhibiting frustration over Irving and the situation in Cleveland to the point others in the locker room are afraid to given ownerships apparent love affair with irving? I believe mike brown to be a good coach and further believe that all it takes to turn Cleveland around would be for ownership to go into that locker room and publicly embrace brown with the message to the players being that only one job in the organization that is safe is browns! All else are on notice! Sometimes you have to sink your ship to get your crew to swim.

There is without a doubt, bad things going on in the locker room one way or another! Whether it’s the players or the coach being to soft! Something must be done and the attitude must change or this team will only get worse! There has been absolutely NO improvement in the last months!! They make the same mistakes over and over, make excuses like this is unacceptable and we must get better at ( insert form of play here) ! Well nothing is getting better and we may be better off waiting until the end of the season and then CLEAN HOUSE!! GM coach and some players too, and I’m not talking just one or two and not bench players either!! Some you might not want to see go!

If I am the CAVS I’m looking to rebuild… again. Meaning, blow up the roster ASAP, fire Chris Grant, and cut our losses. I would shop Kyrie Irving for any 2014 picks + veternan players and I would also dangle Dion Waiters to the highest bidder. Irving is a baby, and Waiters is just a thug. However, I favor Waiters over Irving on a nightly basis. If Waiters can get his head right the sky is the limit. I think we’ve seen the limit for Kyrie (20ppg, 6-7 asst, and 1.5 stl, with 2-3 t/o) for the rest of his career…
