NFL Rumors: Washington Redskins begin contract talks with DeAngelo Hall
By Josh Hill
The Washington Redskins were not a very good team last year, but you don’t have to look very hard at their 2013 body of work to discover that. There were bright spots though, and cornerback DeAngelo hall was one of those bright spots which is probably why Washington is trying to bring him back.
Hall usually isn’t discussed int he conversation as the best cornerback in the NFL but he’s without a doubt one of the higher end defensive backs out there. With the problems Washington had last season, the last thing they’s want to do is dump one of their best players and the Washington Post is reporting Hall leaving the team may not be happening.
"The Washington Redskins have begun negotiations on a new multiyear contract for cornerback DeAngelo Hall, a person with knowledge of the situation said.Hall, 30, will be a free agent after playing on a one-year contract this past season."
Bringing back Hall won’t fix all of Washington’s problems but it will go a long way in making sure new ones aren’t created. Washington isn’t what you’d call a free agent destination this year which means keeping as much talent as you can is a great place to start getting better.
