Given a brief glimpse into the Denver Broncos locker room, we might learn that the team is rallying to win Super Bowl 48 for more than one of their veteran players (and more than one future Hall of Famer, for that matter).

Of course there is Peyton Manning, his legacy, and on and on. But there is also cornerback Champ Bailey, who is finally getting a chance to play in the Super Bowl after 15 years in the league.

Benjamin Hochman has a profile of Bailey in today’s Denver Post. One of the key takeaways? The Broncos are thinking about getting this one for Bailey just as much as they are for Manning.

Safety Mike Adams says the following:

"Champ’s humble, and you don’t see Champ being flashy or demanding respect or using his seniority to get things…His presence alone — when Champ walks in the room, it’s like, ‘that’s Champ.’ His presence alone says enough.”"

Bailey delivered a vintage performance against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship. His coverage was so good that it forced Tom Brady to look elsewhere. He might not take away half of the field anymore, but if Bailey can muster up one more of those games it will go a long way for the Denver Broncos.
